“ Enjoyed the food and service here tremendously. I was on my own; the staff were lovely - friendly and attentive. Not overly so. When you sat you received some homemade foccacia and lovely salted butter. I had the Duck Parfait to start - probably my favourite dish of the evening. Just superb, with wonderful warm treacle bread. Hake for main. The warm tartar sauce was yummy and the cheddar and truffle mash was smooth and lush. A side of crunchy green veg with a bit of garlic went very well with it. All seasoned excellently. I went for a dessert of Creme Brulee with a raspberry madeleine. Very good but I couldn't finish it! They give a chunk of salted caramel fudge at the end. VV good. I had a Welsh madeira whiskey and two small glasses of wine with the meal. 63 which I thought was quite reasonable. Hats off to the chef. There is only him in the kitchen and all the food looked to go out timely and very well presented. If I visit Aberaeron again then the Stubborn Duckling is definitely on my to do list. Thank you for a great meal ”
